While an intern at Propane Design Group in Atlanta, I worked on a team of designers tasked with a complete branding of a new hybrid battery technology. This was my first exposure to such a ground-up branding process and it has informed almost all of my projects since.
Since the battery technology was completely revolutionary and brand new, it first needed a name and a tagline. I dove into the process of name generation using a variety of methods including research into analogous products, technologies, and concepts and a sort of mashup word play. After down-selecting from hundreds of name and tagline ideas with the client, we developed logos for the top ten. The client eventually selected “Infion: integrated hybrid power” and final logo and brand development was executed.
